Spice of Life Gourmet Peppercorns was founded in 2000 to provide high quality spices at low prices. Our desire to create such a website came out of a love of cooking and astonishment at the high price of some spices & herbs at our local grocery stores. We knew there had to be a better way. Q. Why are peppercorns better than pre-ground pepper?

A. In one word, Quality. Once pepper is ground it starts to loose its qualities quickly, within only three months pepper has lost much of its flavor. According to the US Dept. of Agriculture whole peppercorns can be stored in your cupboard for up to two years without loosing significant quality!

Q. What is the best way to store our excess peppercorns?

A. Peppercorns like most spices are best stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place. Stored this way, most peppercorns will last a long time.

Q. When I change a quantity in the shopping cart the old quantity still appeasers during checkout. What happened?

A. After changing a quantity in the shopping cart the "edit quantities" button must be pressed for the change to be recognized by shopping cart.

Q. Every time I add an item to the shopping cart the previous item I added is gone. What is happening?

A. Your browser is rejecting some cookies. The shopping cart keeps track of you and your order by placing a small identifying piece of information on your computer called a cookie.
